McLeans Falls
McLeans Falls is a picturesque, multi-tiered waterfall nestled in the native bush of the Catlins Forest Park on New Zealand's South Island. It is one of the most popular and accessible waterfalls in the region, known for its serene and beautiful setting. A well-maintained walking track (about 20-30 minutes return) leads through a lush forest of ferns and podocarp trees to the base of the falls. Here, the water cascades over a series of ancient rock formations into a calm, green pool, creating a classic and photogenic South Island scene. It's a peaceful spot that perfectly captures the raw, natural beauty of the Catlins.
